Client

Yago is a comparison site for Singapore-based language schools. It aims to provide helpful information to prospective students that the schools won't tell themselves.

Objective

Our objective was to bring visibility to the Yago brand on Facebook and we have to associate the Yago brand with "languages", which is a very broad spectrum in itself. Most importantly, it must be sticky and create a word-of-mouth effect.

Solution

Since the site was targeted primarily at Singaporeans, we wanted to do something that is uniquely Singapore. Thus, the "How good is your Singlish campaign" was created. Singlish is the localized colloquial version of English spoken by the heart-landers of the island. Players are quizzed based on time and accuracy. The highest scorers walk away with a cool prize. The quiz caught on fast. The fanpage grew 2500 fans (from zero) within a week and some fans got so addicted to the game they played it more than a hundred times!
