Reminisce with Facebook
Wonder what you have been doing at the same time, same place last year? Well, Facebook has came up with a new function that displays your status updates on what you have done exactly one year ago!
You probably would have noticed some new features here and there on Facebook, as they have been rolling out quite a few over the years. Some of these include the reminiscing of photos taken with your friends one year ago, and the popular status updates that you have commented on in the past. This time, they have gone one step further by displaying status updates you and your friends wrote exactly one year ago. This new function has been speculated by many as one that seeks to subtly bring about nostalgia, and hence loyalty, among its fans to prevent them from jumping ship to rival upcoming platforms. However, there has been "No comments" by Facebook on whether this is true.
Though we do not know exactly why Facebook released this new function, I have to admit it is quite fun as I have seen my friends posting previous status updates from one year ago in our little group wall. It was definitely entertaining.
