Rachel joined the Techsailor family in April 2010 as the first innovative Local Enterprise Achievement Development (iLead) Programme intern, which is offered by the National University of Singapore. The programme gave her the opportunity to step into a new world of entrepreneurship, learning from seniors the ins and outs of setting up a successful business. After graduating from NUS with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Technopreneurship in December 2010, Rachel returned to sail with the Techsailor family as a Social Media Manager.

Rachel’s interest in marketing stemmed from her school days, where she was given several opportunities to hone her marketing skills. For three years running, she brought in sponsorships for Kent Ridge Hall as the Marketing Executive. As the Outreach Manager of The NUSChoir for two years, Rachel promoted and coordinated performances, and be trained to step out of her comfort zones. She held such great interests and love for these organizations while she was in school that she was better described as part time student, full time chorister!

Always counting her blessings, Rachel is fortunate to have experienced seniors around her. Learning happens everyday at Techsailor and the sailors are always encouraged to share.

Rachel always puts her faith and trust in the Lord. Never to be seen without a smile, Rachel enjoys the simple things in life, such as singing in a choir, hanging out with friends, dinners with the family, cross-stitching, eating desserts and playing the piano.
